Babies can have such a hard time with
their tummies. They may be gassy or constipated or develop a
case of colic. Stroking on the tummy has been found to be
helpful to reduce these discomforts. During her classes, Linda
teaches parents and instructors strokes on the baby’s stomach, which
help to alleviate colic, gas, and constipation. When a baby is
especially gassy or colicky, we do a routine. To help comfort the
baby during this routine, Linda teaches the parents and instructors to
sing the “Skid A Ma Rink” song. The singing seems to calm and
distract the baby while doing the strokes, which in turn seems to
help digestive problems. Many parents have asked where they could
get the song and the creeper that diagrams the tummy strokes worn
by my demonstration doll.
I have received a lot of feedback from parents on how happy they were with this massage routine and how it helped their little ones. Click here for some comments that have been shared with Linda about the tummy trouble program. |
